It was good to open my e-mail account and see a
message from you! It seems weird to go from having
20-some friends around all the time, to our quiet
little apartment. I am missing the pleasant
company already! I just wanted to thank you for
all your care and hard work...You and your family
truly emulate Christ-like love. I appreciated your
openness and willingness to share your life with
us. As with other mission projects, I feel like I
was given back more than I gave. --

I
just wanted to say a BIG "Thank You" for allowing me the
honor to serve our Honduran brethren with each of you. Our group
was a reflection of God's love for us. I appreciate the fun we
shared, the support we gave each other, the serving we were able
to do, and the deep spiritual maturity of our team. The chemistry
of our team was beyond my expectations. Personally, I also want to
thank you for your prayers and kind words of support for me… -- Kathy
Hey,
I just wanted to email you all to tell you what a
blessed time I had working with all of you. Thank
you so much. Your ministry has taught me a lot,
and I've become more bold in the great commission
that God has placed upon my heart! ...It was my
first time out of the country, and I'm so grateful
that God gave me the finances and the prayer
support to get through it all. :) --Steve
I
am glad to be back and get some much needed rest...but I miss
everyone and most of all those we left behind in Honduras...u know
how much they have impacted my life and it is an honor and
privilege to be able to go these past two years and help....and
I know there will many more years to come... --Meghann
It
was a good time packed with service and fellowship.
I thought it was great. I will never forget the
experience. I will pray for the people of the
church with first hand knowledge now. --

We
just really wanted to thank all of you for taking time out of your
busy lives to come down to Honduras to give of yourselves. We
really enjoyed the fellowship with all of you, which is one thing
we have really missed over the past nine months. -- Justin
& Elizabeth
I
can truly say that this trip turned out different
for me than the years past. I was very
relaxed and focused this trip on the Hondurans and
just watched the team in the periphery. They
did well this year and I enjoyed being the
"observer," I learned a great deal just
watching others. --Robert
We
spent so much time together on our trip that I miss you
all. It is nice to be home and back with my family, but I do
also miss the people we met and worked with in San Pedro.
What a blessing our trip was on so many levels, one is the
friendships I made with all of you. I pray that you all are
doing well. --

On
our last day at the site, we all stood together -
members of Restoration Church and our American
team - in the church, which consists of a large
blue and white tent, and a cement slab. Our team
was told how very much we were appreciated, and we
in turn expressed gratitude for the love extended
to us. There were lots of hugs and tears and new
friendships made. It was a bittersweet goodbye
when our work came to an end. I've given myself
some time to think about this experience. I
believe God has shown me more about myself, both
positive and negative aspects, than about anything
else. I've pondered things like: how I
handled new situations, how I adapted to difficult
conditions, how I interacted with people I'd just
met, how I made various decisions, and most
importantly, how I trusted in Him. There
were times when I needed the presence of my
Father. He was there for me and He comforted me. I
will "go" again when God calls me. -- Karen
Hi!
I've enjoyed hearing from all of you so much that
I'm going to add a message of my own! Thanks for
all your messages! It's been fun to hear about
your post-Honduras lives, and comforting to know I
wasn't the only one who experienced the blues of
readjustment. Like the rest of you, I had a
wonderful time. My family was looking over my
pictures, and commented on how happy everybody
looked all the time, even though sweat was
dripping down our faces! I think God really
blessed us on the trip, both in our experiences
and in being with each other. I have been
remembering these good times as I have been going
through some very difficult times at work since
being back. It's clear the devil wasn't
too happy I went to Honduras, and has been doing a
lot to make things miserable for me. But so far I
am overcoming - praise God.
