Good
day brothers & sisters,
Our
desire is that our God would bless and prosper you
in everything. Our church continues to receive
blessings through your lives and ministry.
From
the first time that we received news that you were
preparing to send the second container, our hearts
were filled with joy to see how Jesus has placed a
burden in your lives with genuine and abounding
love for our country and especially for
Restoration Church. We feel so appreciated to see
your lives moved to give and act, not out of pity
but rather out of compassion for other people’s
lives.
It’s
a pleasure to inform you that the container along
with its contents
arrived in perfect condition.
The level of communication that we maintained was
a factor that played a major role in the success
of this operation. The shipping company that you
hired has provided an excellent service. They
constantly sent updates about the transit of the
container. We also know that GOD took over the
Customs Brokerage Agency that our church retained,
because they have been so courteous with us. Their
services went beyond their responsibilities and
their fees are favorable too.
We
had some difficulties at the customs office,
mostly because of the dishonesty of one of the
inspectors that ended up stealing some things from
some pallets. But GOD, who cares for all, allowed
that during the inspection our representative
(Customs Brokerage Agency) was a person with moral
principles and did not allow for the theft to be
significant in quantity.
We
paid a fee in customs so that the container could
exit and we are
currently waiting for the
government to resolve and answer our request for
dispensation of this container. All the
documentation has been submitted and we have
completed any requirements that they have asked
for. We're praying and GOD willing next Thursday
we will receive their response.
The
container was taken to the church's property on
Friday September 27 late in the afternoon. There a
group of brothers and sisters gathered to
celebrate the provision of GOD, each pallet that
we moved from the container caused for our voices
to rise in praise to see the provision of The Lord
for His Church and Its projects.
Also,
something funny happened: almost every Sunday,
after the church meetings, the small groups have
food sales to raise funds. When some of the
‘cooks’ saw the refrigerator and the stove,
they immediately warned the carriers that 'they
would rather have the carriers knocked and hurt
than anything happening to the stove and the
refrigerator." We laughed seeing the jest and
immediate protectiveness and care that the people
already felt for your gifts.
In
anticipation to the arrival of the container, the
deacons of the church had already made
preparations to decorate the tent that you were
sending. They had lots of flags, curtains and
balloons. When our precious tent finally got
here…!!! We could no longer wait so around 8:00
PM we disassembled our 'first' home tent and with
mixed sadness and joy we worked non-stop with
joyous backs and arms to move the "new
arrival" to its new home. (We had food and
beverages on hand for everyone). Meanwhile, as
people were getting out of their regular jobs,
they started to join in to raise the new tent. We
finished around 11:30 PM, very tired but extremely
happy!
The next
day, very early, we continued to work hard with
the last details for our Upcoming celebration of
Generosity. On Sunday, we rejoiced in the presence
of our GOD, we worshiped, we praised, we brought
offerings and we danced for Him. JESUS visited us
with blessings and confirmed His gift of eternal
live.
For
now we want to express once again our profound and
sincere gratitude for allowing GOD to use you and
for being so special with us.
In
the love of CHRIST,
Rev.
