December 2003 Report by Nancy

Mission’s trips fill us with experiences, lessons, insights, even epiphanies but they are more than a tool for our personal growth… through them we are able to reach out to the larger world-family of Christ. Personally, I believe that we need to be in a place of displacement to find that Christ is ALL, ENOUGH AND FULLY our God. This team faced a lot of challenges, learned flexibility and had to put aside its American way of seeing things in order to see the larger picture: to appreciate the jewels that are often forgotten… a child’s smile, the amazement in their eyes, their curiosity and active learning, the thoughtful moment before they choose to receive Jesus, the candor of a child’s testimony, the trust and affection they bestowed on us just because…

So, my prayer is that God’s love would continue to grow in the children of Honduras and in this team’s hearts. I also want them to have a strong desire to follow and submit to Christ fully for the rest of their lives. I ask God to develop their gifts and skills so that they continue to serve our Lord and I ask for their lives to be motivated by passion and dependency in JESUS.

Thank your for helping me to serve, learn and grow. Thank you for praying for the team and me.

FINANCIALS:

Our expenditures where met by God through all the contributions and efforts of each team member and we are very glad that we're able to leave a small offering for our host church. Detailed Reports and receipts have been sent to both our home churches.
